AT THE OLD TOWN: Fete in the Summer, FoOTR (Friends of Old Town Rec) together with Hope Woodwork in Green Street helped local children make Bird Bat & Bug Boxes. The Council’s Neighbourhood First Team have arranged for the homes to be put up in the trees in the wood backing onto Cherry Garden Road at the Old Town Rec on Longland Road. We have invited the children to come and watch their boxes being put up. This will take place over two mornings on Monday and Tuesday October 26 and 27 starting at 9.30am.
PRAYER DAY: St Elisabeth’s Church, Victoria Drive, Eastbourne is holding a Prayer and Spirituality Day tomorrow, Saturday. A special labyrinth will be laid out in the main worship area, with various aids for reflection. In addition authorised prayer ministers will be available to listen to and pray with people. Light refreshments are freely available all day. You are welcome to drop in any time between 10am and 4pm.
