Happy New Year everyone!: The next Chat -Stop in St Saviour's church hall is on Saturday, 12 January from 10am. Everyone welcome for hot drinks, cakes and lively conversation. For those who wish to take part table games are available. Free, just come along.

On 12th January 2019: from 10.30 am., in York House Hotel, the Cercle Francais will be meeting for a coffee/tea morning. We invite others who have an interest in speaking in French and in the French culture to come along and meet at the ‘’Cafe de Bienvenue”.

The next meeting of the Cercle Francais d’Eastbourne will be on held on Friday, 18th January 2019 at All Saints Church Hall, Grange Road. Starting at 7.15pm. the subject of the talk will be Jean-Francois Champolion, the brilliant son of an impoverished bookseller in rural France who dedicated his life to the decipherment of hieroglyphs and, against all odds, became the first person able to read ancient Egyptian in the 1820s.
