AREA DIRECTORY: Launched at the Vitality Village coffee morning last week, this new informative guide for Herstmonceux and its surrounds lists a fantastic array of activities going on in the area. There is something for everyone. Activities you can join in if you would like to and where a warm welcome awaits. There are also details of what the Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre has to offer, which is so much more than just fixing you when you are not well. They can help you to achieve your health goals and stay well. Vitality villages is a community organisation based at HIHC which focuses on the health and well-being of residents in Herstmonceux and the local communities. The aim is to promote health and well-being in order to create an environment where individuals, families and communities feel informed, empowered, healthier and happier. It really leaves nothing out and lists everything from clubs to car parks. You can pick up a hard copy from various venues around the village or visit the parish website at www.herstmonceuxparish.org.uk.
LIME CROSS NURSERY: The gardening team were super happy to drop off a van load of the Nursery’s home-grown conifers to RHS Wisley this week. They will be forming part of the new Tropical Garden that is being created, in place of a former mono culture rose garden. The garden will be a mixed planting of conifers, ferns, palms and hot, vibrant colourful plants. Curator Matthew Pottage is a huge fan of conifers and is pioneering many changes at Wisley in the next few years. Well worth a visit and keep a look out for many of their conifers.
CHURCH SERVICES: All Church services will be at Herstmonceux whilst building works take place at Wartling. The next services at All Saints will therefore be this Sunday 8am Holy Communion (BCP) 10am (Wartling Service) Mothering Sunday Service 6pm Celtic Service.
RAY AND SHELDON: This afternoon, Friday, there is a talk by Richard Rattle on Bateman’s, to the over 60s club at Herstmonceux Village Hall, starting at 2pm. Enquiries to Ann on 441244.
