OPEN AIR SERVICE: An Open Air Service for those at rest in St Andrew’s Churchyard is on Sunday, at 4pm. Refreshments will be available in the Parish Hall after the service.

SUMMER FETE: The Summer Fete, in aid of St Andrew’s Church, is tomorrow, Saturday, opening at noon. There will be stalls, games and refreshments available with a Punch and Judy Show and the Seaford Silver Band playing. A Dog Show will start at 2pm with registration an hour earlier (1pm). Any donations of items for the Fete can be taken to the village hall today, Friday, between 10am and 2pm. Donations of cakes for refreshments and also for the cake stall are particularly welcome.

COFFEE MORNING: There will be no Community Coffee Morning today, Friday, but coffee will be served in the Parish Hall for those bringing items for the Bishopstone Church Fete. The next Community Coffee Morning is on Friday, August 28.

FREE HORSE MANURE: Is available on west (Newhaven) side of Bishopstone Road between Bishopstone Estate and Bishopstone Pond: help yourself, but please return or replace the bags.

BUCKLE CAR PARK: The proposed loss of the Buckle Car Park and associated public toilets means that there will no longer be public facilities at the western end of Seaford seafront and no replacements are planned. The reason given is that Lewes District Council needs to provide affordable housing and that new buildings being erected on the site of these facilities will provide the council with revenue to fund affordable housing elsewhere in the District.
