LADIES BREAKFAST: St Andrew’s Church Deanery Ladies Breakfast is tomorrow, Saturday, from 8.30am to 10am in Bishopstone Parish Hall. Dr Ruth Butlin will be speaking on The Mercy of the Mental Health Act. Tickets cost £4 and are available from Lily Holland.
BEACH CLEAN: Tide Mills Community Beach Clean is from 10am to noon on Sunday. Meet at the beach end of Mill Drove (off the A259). Come along, grab a bag and litter picker, and help clean up the area for visitors and the local wildlife.
SUMMER FETE: The Summer Fete is on Saturday, August 1. Now is the time to start turning out to find donations for all the usual stalls. Janet Wright is collecting handbags, purses, beach bags, umbrellas, scarves and shoes for her stall. Please leave these items either in St Andrew’s Church Tower or at 2, Eadric House. The Bottle Bank, also in the tower, would appreciate your donations. Teresa Everest is collecting new items, eg sweets and toys, for a Children’s Tombola and they can be left in the church.
FREE HORSE MANURE: Is available on west (Newhaven) side of Bishopstone Road between Bishopstone Estate and Bishopstone Pond: help yourself, but please return or replace the bags.
EVENTS: If you would like to hold a coffee morning or an open garden in aid of St Andrews Church, please contact a church member to let them know.
