RECENTLY, as part of their new topic, Class R & Class Sa from Hankham School went to sample Victorian life at Preston Manor and handle Victorian artifacts at Hove Museum. Wearing appropriate costume, part of the day was role playing - the children had applied earlier for a domestic servant’s job at the Manor. They were interviewed by the housekeeper and upstairs maid, taken around the house and required to perform various domestic duties. This activity was brilliantly done, with the Manor staff staying strictly (in every sense of the word!) in role until the end of the visit. Well done to all concerned for making the day so much fun.

PLEASE remember schools are collecting vouchers issued by Sainsbury’s and Tesco, so please encourage friends and family to help. I understand Sainsbury’s Active Kids Campaign 2012 has now finished but vouchers already issued can still be redeemed by the schools.
