YOU CAN register for the Rotary Club of Sovereign Harbour’s second annual sponsored Harbour Walk, in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind, at Asda in the Sovereign Harbour Retail Park tomorrow (Thursday) 10am-2pm; 2pm-5pm on April 7 at Eastbourne Borough FC’s home fixture with Welling; and on Wednesday, April 11, 2pm to 6pm at the Pevensey Coastal Defences annual public forum at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club.

More sponsors would be welcome (financial or services) for the walk, which will start and finish behind Cineworld at midday on Sunday April 22.

Walkers, and their dogs, can also register online by visiting, or by post, by downloading a registration form from the website.

THE next meeting of the Sovereign Harbour Carnival Action Team (SHECAT) is in the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club tonight (Wednesday) starting 7.30pm. There is still time for anybody interested to join the team and contribute to the harbour community’s Carnival entry. The team has a fundraising supper at the Happy Dragon in Pevensey Bay on March 14 at 7pm. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended. HARBOUR Friends is a social group of residents, of all ages, both singles and couples, with the purpose of building friendships and generally enjoying life on Sovereign Harbour. THE Eastbourne RNLI appeal to raise the final £700,000 to give the volunteers the safety and speed they need to continue saving lives at sea will run until the end of 2012. There is a raffle, the top prize of which is for two people to spend a Sunday training session with the crew of the new lifeboat. THE Sovereign Harbour Bridge Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club , 1pm for a 1.30pm start, finishing at 5pm. CHESTNUT Tree House invites you to gather your girlfriends and let your star shine for a Night to Remember - a 10- mile walk along Eastbourne’s seafront, including the marina promenades, to raise money for Chestnut Tree House, the only children’s hospice in Sussex.
