Walks on September 20 include a ;leisurely one “Let’s Do It Again” Peelings Lane Circular. Approximately three miles, walk through the lanes, one field, coffee at Sharnfold Farm, one small stile. Meet at Red Lion, Stone Cross car park at 10.15am with Geoff W

Or five miles Powdermill, and ponds in Autumn, gently undulating farm and woodland, some lane walking, four stiles with Kim and Lynn

Or Winchelsea, Cockmarling and Royal Military Canal, eight miles, mostly flat and six stiles. Leaders at start, picnic lunch at Panelsewear Bird hide with Sheila and Frank.

THE Downland Singers meet again every Thursday, from 7.30pm at Trinity Church Hall, Coppice Avenue. The friendly group of enthusiastic singers welcomes new voices and would particularly like additional male members for the Bass section. Further details from Jennie on 484189.

TRINITY Diners next meal is on Friday, September 21 - harvest lunch of roast gammon, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, apple cake and custard with tea or coffee. Good value at £5 per head. To book contact Jennie on 484189.

The lunch club is going from strength to strength at Trinity Church, Coppice Avenue but needs more volunteers to help prepare, serve and clear away at each meal. Training will be given.

The club is held on the third Friday of each month and volunteers can work shifts according to their availability. More from Jennie a ring on 484189.

COFFEE morning on Saturday, September 22, at Polegate Community Centre, hosted by Polegate Playgroup. All welcome in the lounge, 10am-noon.

Meet between 10am and 11am for registration at Eastbourne Pier. Walk to Wish Tower slopes and back, teams of two, maximum 40 couples. Please sign up with or without partner.
