THE OCTOBER MEETING OF The Sussex Wildlife Trust, Eastbourne Group, will be held as usual at the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road, BN21 1UE on Thursday October 18, commencing at 7.30pm at which there will be an illustrated talk on “Sussex in Close Up” by David Bradford. David is a Sussex based wildlife photographer, artist and sculptor.

He gave a talk in 2009 and his photographs’, including many close ups, were amongst the best the Group had ever seen. The admission charge is £2.00 for SWT Members and £3.00 for Non-Members - tea/coffee and biscuits will be served during the interval for which a there is charge of 50p.

There is a large car park at the Church and it should be noted that for security reasons the entrance door to the Church will be locked shortly after the start time so please make sure you arrive in good time. THE NEXT OLD TOWN Area Panel meeting takes place on Tuesday October 23 in The Old Town Community Centre, Central Avenue from 6.15-8.15pm. New members are always welcome and a chairperson is actively being sort after. For further details please contact Eastbourne Homes Ltd., on 01323 463436.

THE FARMERS MARKET, at the Community Wise Centre, Ocklynge Road, on Saturday October 27 from 10-12.30pm. The market is packed with fresh local home-made produce and healthy foods, including bread, meat, preserves, spices, cakes, vinegar, honey, oils, scones and fudge, plus lots of exciting crafts, all at reasonable prices. Refreshments available all morning and everyone is welcome.
