WE ARE sad to say goodbye to our Neighbourhood Management Officer, Scott Brunton. Scott worked hard in his short time here, helping to boost events and improve the area. I am pleased to announce however, that the popular figure of Kirsty Peckham will be taking over this post.
I AM m pleased to report that the concrete slab that was situated in Milfoil Drive has been removed. You may remember that I reported on the issue a few weeks ago in this column and it has since been sorted. A big thanks to those who listened up and dealt with the situation. Thanks to Lori from Neighbourhood Panel for her input.
SATURDAY November 10 sees a visit to King’s Lynn Town for Eastbourne Borough FC in the cup. The Priory Lane team based here in Langney kick off from 3pm.
THE DRAMA Department at Causeway school is looking for its students to join the Creative Arts Club with Mr Mason, Performing Arts Technician. The students will be part of the School production team, working with Mr Mason to make the set and props for their next school musical, ‘Annie’. They will be expected to meet and work on this project once a fortnight. Next term’s dates are Tuesday 20 November, Tuesday 04 December and Tuesday 18 December 2012, from 3pm to 4pm in the music room. Students should add their name to the list on the drama studio door if they are interested.
CAUSEWAY would also like to remind parents that high energy drinks and those with high caffeine content are banned from the school.

Eastbourne Borough Council has recently launched an academic competition, open to Year 10 students from local schools, to design a new restaurant, bar, café or hotel on the prestigious Wish Tower site. Causeway School’s team, consisting of Sidney Eyre, Alex Fitton, Katherine Geer and Kieran Hughes, attended the launch event at Eastbourne Town Hall, with technology teacher, Mr Plumley. The teams were given background information about the Wish Tower site and guidelines and rules for the competition
The Causeway Team will submit a draft proposal in December and a panel, including Council Officers and Councillors, will shortlist teams who will have to submit and present a full proposal by March 2013. Good luck team!
