To celebrate survival, join DJ Ian Stonestreet for a 1970s night at Langney Sports. The fun starts at 8pm on Saturday, April 28. A tribute night has also been arranged for Saturday, May 19. It’s time for a bit of night fever when dancing with the Counterfeit Bee Gee. With events like these you win again!

DON’T forget the Shinewater Neighbourhood Panel meeting is tonight at 5.30pm at the Hub in Lavender Close. It’ll be well worth a visit, so don’t miss it!

ANOTHER crucial, ‘must be at’ event is the monthly Langney Area Panel meeting. Starting from 5pm tomorrow (Thursday) for tea and cake (or some sort of sweet thing!), Langney Resource Centre in Etchingham Road is the venue for some riveting conversations about the latest goings on in the area. The main session is from 6pm.

ST Richard’s Church in Etchingham Road has a Coffee Morning on Friday, April 27, 10am-11.30am. Do go along for a drink and a chat.

The church is also holding an Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Flower Festival on Saturday, June 2, 10am-4pm and also Sunday, June 3, 11.30am-3.30pm followed by a Worship Service at 4pm on the Sunday. Entrance charge is just £1 for adults and 50p children, which includes a drink and biscuits.

As well as many interesting art exhibits and flower displays there will be a children’s art and craft workshop to keep them amused while parents have a look around.
