A REQUEST has been made from Bishop Bell for donations of items to take to Kabubbu. The school will visit the country during the summer and is looking for clothing for the Kabubbu foster home.

These are for girls aged 6-18 years and boys from 11-18 and can include new nightwear, socks and pants, new or good quality second hand clothes along with shoes and flip flops. A range of other bits and bobs are wanted, such as board games, DVDs, arts and craft items, musical instruments, school items and sports equipment/wear. For details on how you can help, call Bishop Bell School on 465400.

PUPILS from Bishop Bell raised money recently to aid Football 4 Peace charity and also to bring in much-needed new rugby posts. They achieved a walk from the school to the pier and back and the weather smiled on them. An ice cream break gave them the energy needed to complete the stroll!

GREAT to hear West Rise Junior School has been able to extend their lease of almost 100 acres of marshland. This is great for the community, pupils and staff alike.
