It the May meeting members had the honour of welcoming Norma Holt who gave a great talk, on transportation to the penal colonies. She talked about a member of her family who survived a 10-year sentence. While at work the government put aside 1d per week by way of wages.

This was in order that once the term was served he could go home. Over the years this man would have accrued £2.3.4d which equates to £2.15. But as he could not buy a ticket, the wages never got paid. Thanks to Norma for all her hard work.

All welcome for 50p at the door. Plenty of parking. For questions or seat bookings, email or visit
