CONTRARY to the information I gave last week about the Hampden Park and Willingdon Trees (Eastbourne Homes) Neighbourhood Panel meeting on April 6, I have now been informed these meetings do not take place on a Bank Holiday, and it will now be held on Friday, April 13, in the Hampden Park Community Centre in Brodrick Road.
LAST chance for all would-be Kings and Queens! Judging for the Hampden Park Carnival King and Queen is on Easter Sunday, April 8, during the Easter Fun Time event in Hampden Park, 10.30am-12.30am. If your son or daughter is 16 or over, tell them about this brilliant opportunity to be ‘Royals for a Day’ to include riding in a very posh car as an important part of the Eastbourne Carnival procession in June. Don’t be shy - go along to Hampden Park Rugby Club and ‘strut your stuff’. For younger children there is also a free Easter Egg Hunt, and an Easter Bonnet Competition for all ages. For entry forms for the King and Queen judging, ring 01323 509196 or e mail email@example.com
AN opportunity for all you ‘browsers’. On Saturday, April 14, 10am-noon, there is a sale in St Mary’s Church Hall, Decoy Drive, and the stalls will include books, bric-a-brac, jewellery, bathroom goods and hand-crafted cards.
HAVE you purchased tickets yet for the comedy play in the Hampden Park Community Hall in Brodrick Road? The Underground Productions Amateur Theatre Company is going to delight the audience with ‘Ladies Who Lunch’ by Tudor Gates from Thursday, April 19-Saturday, April 21, 7.30pm. Tickets can be obtained by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone, 01323 412357.
