Down Your Way: Hampden Park

MANY in Hampden Park will have been saddened by the events near the convenience store at the top of the Hydneye recently, and may still have concerns or worries about their general safety and wellbeing.

To this end, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team is holding a street meeting in the courtyard area of Ross and Fife Courts, The Hydenye, at 6.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday).

Other local agencies will support them, including Neighbourhood Watch, and the aim is to chat with, and reassure, residents who have anxieties about either recent events, or anything else about which they would like advice or help with. This is an important meeting, do go along and support it, and perhaps get to know your local policing team and other residents who you may not have yet had the chance to meet.

DO YOU belong to the Broadway Babes? If you are a mum or carer of a baby or toddler up to the age of three, The Broadway Babes Toddler Group is for you. They meet every term-time Wednesday, 10am-11.30am, in the newly-refurbished large hall at the rear of the Broadway Church, off Lindfield Road. -They offer a stimulating and friendly environment both for children and adults, and the morning includes storytelling, crafts and singing, together with a healthy snack for the little ones. It’s an ideal chance for the kiddies to make new friends, and the adults to chat and swap tales and experiences of parenthood. More from Dee on 01323 500686 or Sue on 01323 505866.

THE Broadway Church is an ideal meeting place for a wide range of activities, and Yoga, Pilates and keep fit classes are just a few of the pastimes held in their range of spacious halls and meeting rooms.
