WW2 EVACUEES CHRISTMAS: For the last of Michelham Priory's Christmas events they will be celebrating a WWII Christmas tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday. There will be lots going on throughout the day, you can take part in a wartime classroom lesson and try your hand at writing a message in Morse code. You could participate in a Home Guard Drill or how about making a super special paper aeroplane and take part in a flying competition. There will be a talk each day on the Home Guard or women in WWII. How about learning more about the Evacuees that stayed at Michelham during WWII. The Victory V's will be singing on Sunday from 2pm to 3pm so have a dance and a sing along. There will also be a children's trail and crafts and the house will be decorated for Christmas through the ages.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES: Hellingly, Sunday, Family Service 10.45am and 6pm Nine Lessons and Carols by candlelight; remember to bring a torch. Christmas Eve, 5pm Crib Service, 11.30pm Midnight Communion. Christmas Day, 10.45am Holy Communion. Upper Dicker Sunday, 6.30pm Nine Lessons and Carols. Remember to bring a torch. Christmas Eve, 4pm Crib Service. Christmas Day, 9.15am Holy Communion.

ADVENT WINDOWS GATHERING: This is on Tuesday at The Plough when residents will be celebrating the lights and raising money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice at a gathering from 7pm.

STRAY CAT: At the end of October Sue Simpson circulated a message about a thin, hungry cat that was found near Clover Farm on Camberlot Road. Although no owner came forward the cat has found a new home locally and is doing very well.
