St Wilfrid’s welcomed patron David Dimbleby to the hospice this week.

The broadcaster and journalist – the longest serving host of BBC’s Question Time – dropped into St Wilfrid’s on Broadwater Way to meet patients, staff and volunteers.

He was greeted by hospice chief executive David Scott Ralphs, who showed him around and was able to talk to him about the hospice’s plans to reach out to more people over the coming years and to take is services closer to them, out in its local communities.

A hospice spokesperson said, “David Dimbleby was really interested to hear about the plans and displayed his artistic skills when dropping in on an art therapy class.”
