The public is being warned to stay safe after large cracks appeared on a cliff face this week.
The cracks appeared at Seaford Head after parts of the cliff fell away on to the beach below.
The area has been roped off and warning signs erected.
A spokesman for Newhaven Coastguard said, “Please be aware that a large crack is opening up in the cliff face at Seaford Head very close to a foot path.
“Keep well way from the cliff edge as this could collapse at any time.”
Seaford Town Council says it will continue to monitor the cliffs and asks members of the public to stay away.
A spokesman for the council said, “The public should not at any time go within five metres of the cliff edge. This is particularly necessary at this time.
“Standing on or near the edge of a cliff at any time is very dangerous and should not be done in any circumstances.”
