Cyclist seriously injured in Hailsham crash

A 51-year-old man from Hailsham suffered serious injuries in an accident yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

Police say received reports that the man - a cyclist - collided with a pole in Diplocks Way, near the Gleneagles Drive Roundabout at around 2.30pm.

Paramedics also attended the scene to treat the man's injuries.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "The victim, a 51-year-old local man, was treated by paramedics at the scene, before being taken to Conquest Hospital in Hastings with serious injuries."
