Cyclist injured in Hailsham

A cyclist has suffered a broken collar bone after being knocked off his bike in Hailsham.

The incident happened at the BP garage on South Road at around 2.45pm today (June 27).

Police, an ambulance and paramedic car were called to the scene.

The 39-year-old man was suffering from neck, shoulder and back pain following the collision with the car.

A South East Coast Ambulance spokesperson said he had suffered a broken collar bone.

The man was taken to Eastbourne DGH.

The incident caused disruption and tailbacks for motorists travelling in the area.

Police are appealing for information and ask any witnesses to call 10, quoting serial 838 of June 27.
