Cyclist airlifted after fall

A cyclist suffered serious head injuries when he fell from his bike on Cross Levels Way.

Police are investigating the incident which happened on the footpath at 4.35pm on Friday (May 25).

The 37-year old man from Langney fell from his bicycle sustaining potentially serious but not life threatening head injuries.

He was flown to Kings College Hospital in South London by air ambulance but was discharged the following day.

Police are appealing for witnesses, and ask anyone with any information to call 101, quoting Operation Longship.
