The charity event will kick off at 6.30pm on May 21 with a meet and greet prosecco reception, where guests will mingle with ‘Del Boy’ and ‘Uncle Albert’, followed by a three course 70’s style dinner.

After dinner, ‘Del Boy’ will introduce several celebrities, all played by Comedy Impressionist and Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Drew Cameron, and the evening will round off with music and dancing until midnight.

The Cumberland Hotel has organised a number of events to support the charity, including a themed Christmas and New Year gala dinner and a carol concert.

Elizabeth Rickey, front of house manager at the hotel, said, “We chose to support Chestnut Tree because it’s purely for children with life-shortening conditions and their families, and is very much needed in East Sussex.

“The charity receives very little government funding and relies heavily on the generosity of the general public.”

Charlie Weeks, community fundraiser for East Sussex, added, “Thank you so much to the Cumberland Hotel for putting their Hands Up! and continuing to support us for another year.

“With the help of local businesses like these we will be able to reach more children and families who desperately need us.

“It will be great if you can make it on Saturday, May 21 for what promises to be a fantastic night.”
