Women appear in court after Eastbourne police officers were allegedly spat at

At Lewes Crown Court this week, Bayleigh Meadows and Millie Robinson, who were both 21 at the time of the incident, appeared before a judge.

Meadows, of Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm but not guilty to affray.

Robinson, of Edgeland Terrace, Hampden Park, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting an emergency worker but not guilty to affray.

Both are due to be sentenced on June 12 at a court to be confirmed.

Another woman Nicole Stonestreet, of Seaside, is due to appear in court on June 26 in connection with the same incident.

Sussex Police said the officers were responding to reports of a house party in Edgeland Terrace on Wednesday April 8.

One officer also suffered a head injury and required hospital treatment.
