DETECTIVES are investigating two burglaries at houses in the Roselands area of Eastbourne which happened while the occupants were out between 5.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday, March 15.
A house in Woodgate Road was broken into but police believe the offenders might have been distracted by something as there was no evidence of an extensive search and nothing was stolen.
Another house in nearby Ringwood Road was also burgled at around the same time and a Samsung laptop and an ipod were stolen.
In both cases the thieves got in at the rear of the premises.
Detective Constable Gary Baker of the East Sussex Priority Crime Team said, “If anyone was in the area that evening and saw anything suspicious or has any other information, could they please call us via 101 quoting serials 1550 or 1485 of 15/3.
“You can also call independent charity Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.”
