Teenager’s jaw broken in town centre attack

TWO teenage boys were attacked as they walked home from an Eastbourne nightclub at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the 18 and 19 year-old boys were involved in the altercation.

The incident happened as they walked home from Kings in the early hours of Saturday, February 5.

At around 3.30am, outside KFC in Langney Road, the victims became involved in an incident with two passengers in a white three-door Vauxhall Corsa.

The passengers got out of the car and pushed one of the boys before getting back in the car and driving off.

Then at 3.45am as the teenagers approached the Marine pub in Seaside, the white Corsa appeared again and the same two passengers got out and started shouting at the teenagers.

Both of the victims were punched with one sustaining a broken jaw in the attack.

He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital for treatment and discharged the following day.

PC Claire Langley said, “This was a nasty unprovoked attack on two young men walking home after a night out. I appeal to anyone who witnessed the attack or saw the white Vauxhall Corsa in the area to call Sussex Police immediately.”

The suspect who was sitting in the front passenger seat is described as white, in his early 20s, around 5’8, stockily built with shaved light brown hair. He was wearing a white top and blue jeans.

The passenger sitting in the back of the Corsa is described as white, also in his early 20s, around 6’ 2, of medium build with short black hair and was wearing a dark top.
