According to police, at about 3pm on Saturday (January 18) a 56-year-old man was attacked in Enys Road near the junction with Upperton Road, by a group of men who pulled the victim to the ground and after a sustained attack, took cash from him.

Police say the man later received hospital treatment for cuts and bruises.

The suspects, say police, were in a black car – possibly a Mini Cooper.
