THE JUDGE was yesterday (Tuesday) summing up in the trial of a man accused of murdering Ahmed Remon Hayder.

The 27-year-old was found dead in the family home in Sutton Park Road on February 1 last year.

Shahadat Mollah Sohag denies murdering Remon and has also pleaded not guilty to aggravated burglary.

The victim’s cousin, Mohammed Anhar, 34, from East London, has pleaded guilty to both charges.

Twenty-two-year-old Sohag, of no fixed abode, denies taking part in the attack and said he had tried to help Remon and stop the bleeding but was then threatened by Anhar.

Judge Anthony Scott-Gall was due to continue summing up yesterday afternoon before the jury is sent out.
