Police hunt teenagers who attacked woman

A WOMAN was punched and kicked by two teenagers in a vicious attack after she got off a bus at The Triangle, Willingdon.

The 23-year-old woman was followed off the number 56 bus by a boy and a girl, who assaulted her on February 10.

The teenagers are described as around 17-years-old. The boy, who punched the woman in the arm, was about 5ft to 5ft 4inches, thin, with short blonde hair with a distinctive shaved pattern on both sides and wearing a black hoodie and jeans.

They urged him to come forward to help them in their efforts to trace the teenagers.

A police spokesman said, “This was an unprovoked and vicious attack.

“The woman was very shaken by the ordeal. We have made extensive enquiries and hope that the teenage boy on the bus, or anyone who has information, will contact us.

“The teenage suspect’s hair is quite distinctive and I hope it may jog people’s memories.”
