POLICE are appealing for witnesses after blue paint was thrown at two addresses in Eastbourne earlier this week.
Two homes in Sydney Road were targeted at about 10.40pm on Monday evening, according to police. The paint covered the front of the two properties, including the windows and pavement areas.
A police spokesperson said: “Despite the local council doing their best to clear the pavement, both home owners will have to paint over or clear their own properties at considerable cost to themselves.
“A member of the public reported that they saw someone running from the location towards Cavendish Avenue - it may be that this person is unconnected to what happened but we would like to hear from anyone who also witnessed someone running or anything else suspicious in the area at the time. We’d also be keen to hear from anyone who saw someone walking along with a tin of Dulux gloss paint, or who returned home with blue paint on their hands.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting serial 1971 of 28 May
