November 18:

Rebecca Nettleingham, 39, of Mortain Park, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to stealing items worth £80.82, from The Range store at Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, on August 16. She also pleaded guilty to assault, and to assaulting a police officer at Lottbridge Drove, on the same date and to being in possession of an article for use in connection with theft – a foil-lined bag. In addition, she pleaded guilty to stealing two candles, worth £28, from Tesco at Hailsham, on April 18 and to stealing hair straighteners and candles, worth £170, from the same store on July 2. She pleaded guilty to stealing hair straighteners and candles, worth £75, from Tesco at Hailsham, on July 8. The court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement and ordered her to pay £370 in compensation.

Alexander Evans, 53, of Southfields Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing food items worth £60.36, from Waitrose at Eastbourne, on May 16. He was given a one-year conditional discharge.

Joanne Evans, 55, of Southfields Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing food items worth £60.36, from Waitrose at Eastbourne, on May 16. She was given a one year conditional discharge.

Lewis Fountain, 35, of Falmouth Close, Eastbourne, was found guilty of driving a Mercedes vehicle on Frenchgate Close, Eastbourne, on January 6, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 59 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. He was fined £180 and banned from driving for 16 moths. He was ordered to pay £180 in prosecution costs.

Bradley Yarnton, 47, of Dukes Road, Newdigate, Dorking, Surrey, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Eastbourne, on September 6. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for two years.

Mark Pickard, 37, of Seaside Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to being in breach of a court non-molestation order, by contacting a person at Eastbourne on January 5. He was fined £120.

Peter Watts, 53, of Mount Road, Rhyl, Denbighshire, indicated guilty pleas to 16 charges of making still and moving indecent images of children, which ranged from Category A - Category C in seriousness. The offences took place at Hailsham on, or before, August 28, 2018. He indicated guilty pleas to two charges of being in possession of prohibited images of children, at Hailsham, on the same dates. He indicated guilty pleas to distributing indecent photographs and moving images of children at Hailsham on March 2 and 23, 2011. He indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of 14 pornographic images, involving live animals, that were grossly offensive and obscene. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on December 16 and released on unconditional bail.

November 20:

Jade Mort, 28, of New Road, Lewes, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle on Kings Drive, Eastbourne, on December 14, last year, with cannabis in her bloodstream. She also pleaded guilty to driving with no licence or insurance and to being in possession of one gramme of cannabis at Eastbourne on the same date. She was fined £160 and banned from driving for three years.

November 23:

A 15-year-old Eastbourne girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to two charges of assaulting a police officer at Eastbourne on August 12. She also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Eastbourne on the same date. She was referred to the East Sussex Youth Offender Panel for a four-month contract.
