June 23:

Julian Herfort, 39, of The Boulevard, Pevensey Bay, indicated a plea of guilty to intentionally attempting to communicate with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old female for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification. The offence took place at Eastbourne between January 29 2019 and March 1 2019. He indicated a plea of guilty to attempting to cause a person he believed to be 13-year-old female to look at an image of himself engaging in a sexual activity, and indicated a plea of guilty to attempting to incite a person he believed to be 13-year-old female to engage in sexual activity of a non penetrative nature, at Eastbourne, during the same time period. He indicated a plea of guilty to three charges making two Category A indecent images of a child; nine Category B indecent images of a child and 13 Category C indecent images of a child at Eastbourne on, or before February 27 2019. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on July 21 and released on unconditional bail.

Zoe Grealish, 46, of Shepherds Bush Road, Hammersmith, London. indicated a plea of guilty to being in breach of a court restraining order by going to Alexandra Court, Southfields Road, Eastbourne, on April 24. She was given a 15 month conditional discharge.

Ventsislav Vasev, 25, of Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW on Bedford Street, Eastbourne, on November 14, last year, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was fined £200 and banned from driving for one year.

David Chapman, 59, of Cobbold Avenue, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to making 373 Category C indecent images of children. He indicated guilty pleas to making 88 category B and 19 Category A indecent images of children. The offences took place at Eastbourne between February 28 2015 and July 15 2018. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on July 21 and released on conditional bail.

Kris Dimitrov, 38, of Great Cliffe Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle on Cavendish Place, Eastbourne, on February 19, without due care and attention. He was fined £600 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

Robert Thomas, 50, of Buttermere Way, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Buttermere Way, on May 15, while more than twice over the drink driving limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 82 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £452 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Harry Gibson, 20, of Lullington Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Mini on Bourne Street, Eastbourne, on May 16, while more than twice over the drink driving limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 88 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent at Horam on April 16 and guilty to driving with no licence or insurance at Eastbourne on the same date. He was fined £376 and banned from driving for 22 months. The court made a community order with a requirement of 150 hours of unpaid work.

Willliam Lewington-Booth, 27, of Tower Crescent, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle on Diplocks Way, Hailsham, on November 18, last year, with the controlled drug Ketamine in his bloodstream. He also pleaded guilty to driving with cocaine and the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream at Hailsham on the same date. He was fined £415 and banned from driving for 18 months.

Bailey Neish, 25, of Upper Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Citroen vehicle on Kings Drive, Eastbourne, on May 17, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 57 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £415 and banned from driving for 15 months.

June 29:

Kim Lovis, 52, of Observatory View, Herstmonceux, was found guilty of being in breach of a community protection notice by allowing noxious smells to eminate from her property and failing to comply with orders not to leave a dog, or pet unattended at any time, not allowing a pet to cause a nuisance and not to play music which could be heard outside the confines of her own property. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £490 in prosecution costs.
