February 17:

Jack Williams, 27, of The Strand Hotel, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing meat items, worth £171, from Marks and Spencer in Brighton, on January 17. He also indicated a plea of guilty to stealing meat items worth £150, from the same store on January 9. He admitted to being in breach of a conditional discharge, imposed by an earlier court, for an offence of criminal damage. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £75 in compensation.

Jeremy Duckworth, 34, of The Drive, Hellingly, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Hellingly on February 27 last year. He was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Lucy Weller, 31, of Mabel Way, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Hastings on November 30 last year. She was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Carl Dunn, 28, of Northborne Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle dangerously on the A27 from Lewes, eastbound to the A2270 at Polegate then the A22 towards Hailsham. The offence took place on July 25 last year. He pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and to failing to stop for police at Polegate on the same date. He indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Polegate on July 25. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on April 14 and released on unconditional bail.

Branislav Rogansky, 39, of East Walk, Hayes, Middlesex, indicated guilty pleas to two charges of causing serious injury to another person, while driving a Ford Fiesta vehicle dangerously on Battle Road, Hailsham, on May 31. He pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Battle Road, Hailsham, on the same date, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a blood alcohol reading of 96mg. The legal limit is 80mg. The case was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on March 24 and he was released on unconditional bail.

February 25:

Frederick King, 58, of Compton Terrace, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to entering as a trespasser, Clifton Farm, Camberlot Road, Hailsham, on July 12 , last year, and stealing power tools and batteries worth £1,852. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on March 25 and released on unconditional bail.

Jordan Williams, 31, of The Highway, Peacehaven, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall vehicle on Royal Parade, Eastbourne on October 11, with no insurance. He was fined £162 and banned from driving for six months.
