September 16:

Jake Riley, 32, of no fixed address, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of cannabis. The offence took place at Eastbourne on July 17. He was fined £40.

Jack Holt, 27, of Nodes Farm, Magham Down, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to 15 sheep by allowing them to be transported when they had foot rot at Magham Down on January 1. He also pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to 23 sheep by allowing them to be transported when they had foot rot at Magham Down on February 17. He was fined £580 and ordered to pay £600 in prosecution costs.

Andrew Speed, 51, of Friston Place Cottages, Friston, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Smart car on Jevington Road, Friston, on July 28, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 100 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 23 months.

September 23:

Liam Conway, 27, of Swallow Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis. The offence took place at Eastbourne on April 23. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Gladeana McMahon, 66, of Wish Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault vehicle at Eastbourne Railway Station, Terminus Road, and Ashford Road, on July 28, while over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 51 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. She was fined £415 and banned from driving for one year.

Nina Wilson, 41, of Enys Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to using racially aggravated threatening behaviour at Eastbourne on March 20. She was fined £292.

Rebecca Jeive, 34, of Great Cliffe Road, Eastbourne, was found guilty of failing to comply with light signals at a level crossing at Hampden Park Railway Station, while driving a Ford Fiesta on January 9. She was fined £220 and her driving record endorsed with three penalty points. The verdict was proved in her absence.

September 25:

Paul Ferguson, 34, of The Rookery, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer. 
The offence took place at Priory Road, Eastbourne on March 21. He was fined £162 and ordered to pay £100 in prosecution costs.

Stephen Saunders, 29, of Dallington Road, Eastbourne, was found guilty of failing to surrender to court custody at Hastings on July 14. 
He was given a three-month conditional discharge.
