Magistrates Court results for the Eastbourne area

August 11:

Frances Veale, 41, of Duke Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Skoda vehicle on the A22 at 
Polegate, on February 22, while over the drink drive limit. She gave a blood alcohol reading of 86 milligrams. The legal limit is 80 milligrams. 
She was fined £80 and banned from driving for 14 months.

August 12:

Ben Catt, 20, of Park Croft, Polegate, pleaded guilty to trespassing on land at Arlington reservoir on March 26, in pursuit of game. 
He was fined £500.

Tyler Earwaker, 20, of Shalfleet Close, Eastbourne, indicated a plea guilty to being in possession of a pneumatic air rifle. The offence took place at Eastbourne on February 25. He was fined £120 and the court ordered the air rifle to be forfeited and destroyed.

Bobby Hopkins, 19, of Kensington Way, Polegate, pleaded guilty to trespassing on land at Arlington 
reservoir on March 26, in pursuit of game. He was fined £500.

Jamie Baxter, 34, of Falmouth Close, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi vehicle at Eastbourne, on April 25, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for one year.

Bradley Goldsmith 25, of Flaxen Fields, Five Ash Down, Uckfield, indicated a plea of guilty to being in 
possession of a quantity of cannabis at Hailsham on April 9. He was given a one-year conditional discharge.

Michael Moy, 27, of Clementine Avenue, Seaford, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen on Grand 
Avenue, Seaford, on January 10, with cannabis in his bloodstream. He was fined £161 and banned from driving for one year.

August 18:

Emma Tovey, 31, of Ocklynge Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing stationery and clothing, worth £71.75, from 
Tesco at Eastbourne, on January 17. She was given a one-year conditional discharge.

Fred Fitzgerald, 25, of Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, was found guilty of damaging a kitchen worktop, cupboard and 
door. The offence took place at St Leonards on June 8. He was also found guilty of assault at St Leonards on the same date. 
The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £405 in prosecution costs. Magistrates issued a restraining order.
