Jewellery theft at Polegate home

POLICE are reminding Polegate reisdents to take precautions against burglary.

Sussex Police revealed today about a burglary at Victoria Close in Polegate when a quantity of jewellery was stolen. The theft took place during the late afternoon and early evening hours of Wednesday, May 16. Police are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity at the time, or recently to contact them via 101 quoting serial 1766 of 16/5.

Detective Constable Matthew Armstrong from the East Sussex Priority Crime Team said; “There have been several similar burglaries in the Polegate area in recent weeks which we are actvely investigating, and several leads are being followed.

“We would like local residents to let us know about any suspicious activity and to remember to keep their home secure and safe. We can also assist with any crime prevention advice. Just call 101 and ask for your local Crime Prevention Officer
