Five Eastbourne teenagers arrested on suspicion of attacking woman under the pier
Five teenagers were arrested on Wednesday (March 31) after police received a report of a group of youths attacking a woman under Eastbourne Pier.
A 31-year-old woman was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital for treatment to cuts and bruises to her head and face, according to police.
A 17-year-old girl, two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old woman, all from Eastbourne, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm after the police arrived, just after 7pm.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a Class B drug - cannabis, according to police.
Police said the five arrested have now been released under investigation.
