A woman pleaded guilty to drink driving on the school run, after she was stopped by police twice this week.
Leanne Blackie, 34, of Percival Road, Eastbourne, was first arrested on Monday (November 10) at Heron Park Academy, Eastbourne, and subsequently charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Then on Wednesday (November 12) she was stopped by police while driving in Kingston Road, Eastbourne, and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving. She was later found to have 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millitres of breath - almost three times the legal limit of 35mcgs.
In Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (November 13), she admitted both offences and was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment, concurrent on each offence, suspended for 12 months.
She was also ordered to do 60 hours community service, disqualified from driving for three years, required to take part in an alcohol intervention service course for six days and ordered to pay £85 costs.
