Eastbourne residents urged to stay alert following burglaries

Residents and businesses owners in Eastbourne have been encouraged by police to remain alert after two burglaries in the town.

A spokesperson from Sussex Police said, “Tools were targeted from a residential property off Barcombe Close, Eastbourne, overnight on June 24.

“Unknown suspects have gained entry via a window.” (622 of 25/06 relates)

The spokesperson added, “A vehicle was entered and cash targeted from a vehicle parked off Dean Wood Close, Eastbourne in the late morning on June 26, unfortunately there are no lines of enquiry. (598 of 26/06 relates)

“There are a number of steps residents can take to property their property, including alarm systems and CCTV cameras.

“If you have been the victim of a burglary, please report online, or by calling 101 – always dial 999 in an emergency/burglary in action.”
