A BEAUTICIAN has been accused of subjecting another woman to a sex attack after a night out at a riverside pub.

Nicola Puttock, 39, of Caroline Way, Eastbourne, is alleged to have kissed the woman on the mouth before sexually assaulting her, a Crown Court heard.

The alleged incident is said to have happened after drinks at the Boathouse, in Bridge Road, Chertsey, in July last year while the defendant was attending a beauty course in the town.

Puttock denied assault by penetration when she appeared at Guildford Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on Friday (March 25).

Jill Beale, prosecuting, said, “The complainant is an adult woman.”

John Morris, defending, said his client insisted that the incident had never happened.

“My client says the complainant completely fabricated the allegation. She also challenges the DNA evidence,” he said.

Mrs Beale and Mr Morris told the court that both the prosecution and the defence would be calling their own DNA experts to give evidence in the event of a trial.

Puttock was remanded on bail until July 4 by Judge Christopher Critchlow.
