The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates Court covering the Eastbourne area from November 11-12.
Andrew Hindle (aged 70), of Willow Avenue, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. The offence took place at the A267 North Street on July 14. He was fined £40 and his driving record endorsed with three penalty points. Joshua Semark (aged 24), of Martello Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and damaging a garden gate and letter box. The offence took place at Southbourne Road, Eastbourne on October 25. He was given a one year conditional discharge. Jay Spinks (aged 34), of Marine Parade, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour. The offence took place on October 25 at Seaside Road, Eastbourne. He also pleaded guilty to causing £1,000 damage to property and £100 damage to a motorcycle at Colonnade Gardens, Eastbourne, on October 25. The court made a community order. He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a total of £1,100 in compensation. Heidi Turner (aged 38) of Beechy Avenue, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a VW Golf on Central Avenue, Eastbourne on October 26, while twice over the drink drive limit. She gave an alcohol breath reading of 82 microgrammes, the legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £120 and banned from driving for 14 months. Adrian Penley (aged 27), of Norwood, London, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a small amount of cannabis at the Hammond Drive Custody Centre on October 23. He was fined £80. Terry Carpenter (aged 54), of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to stealing a pedal cycle, valued at £80, from Latimer Road, Eastbourne, on October 4. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody while on bail. He was fined £100. William Easdale (aged 57), of Hurst Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being in breach of a non-molestation order by going to Parsonage Road, Eastbourne on November 10. He was fined £100.
Michael Ferguson (aged 22), of Beachy Head Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Cameo’s Nightclub, Langney Road, Eastbourne, on October 6. The court made a community order with a requirement for 80 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation. Adam Myers (aged 37), of Wroxham Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing a can of lager valued at £1.47 from NISA at Green Street, Eastbourne on October 28. He also admitted stealing three bottles of washing liquid worth £16.77 from Co-Op in Milfoil Drive on August 24 and stealing a quantity of bacon valued at £23.12 from NISA on September 28. He was given an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation for the stolen goods.
