The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates' Court covering the Eastbourne area from December 31 - January 6.

December 31:

Gordon Donnachie, 51, of Ceylon Place, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to two charges of being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He admitted having with him a three foot long wooden pick-axe handle at Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, on November 15 and having a 12- inch kitchen knife at the same time and place. The court made a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work.

Lee Wilkins, 29, of Campbell Mews, Eastbourne, was found guilty of drink driving, assaulting a police officer and obstructing a police officer. He had denied all three offences. The offences took place at Santa Cruz Drive, Eastbourne, on April 18 2015 when he was driving a BMW. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 69 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. The court banned him from driving for 19 months and made a community order with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation and fined £400.

Matthew Winbolt, 27, of Brassey Avenue, Eastbourne, was found guilty of threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Brassey Avenue on July 11 2015. He was fined £120.

Isaac Francis, 20, of Percival Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to four charges of being in breach of a restraining order granted by magistrates under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. The offences took place at Terminus Road and St Leonards Road, in Eastbourne, in October and November 2015. He was given a two year conditional discharge.

January 4:

Billy Samuels, 36, of Dagenham, London, pleaded guilty to possessing a kitchen knife in a public place. The offence took place at South Street, Eastbourne, on August 31 2015. He also admitted failing to surrender to bail and being in breach of a suspended sentence for threatening behaviour. He was sent to prison for four months.

January 5:

Dean Marwick, 43, of Lindfield Drive, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman and causing damage, of an unknown value, to a car, window, table and ornaments.

The offences took place at Hailsham on November 4 2015.

The court made a community order.

January 6:

Laura Gill, aged 28, of Alfriston, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault Clio on Lewes Road, Polegate, on December 16, while over the drink-drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 52 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £110 and banned from driving for one year.
