The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates' Court covering the Eastbourne area from January 12 - January 13.

January 12:

Jake Risley, 22, of Victoria Drive, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to damaging a door at The Lynwood Hotel, Eastbourne, on October 27 last year. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

January 13:

Stephen Chapman, 24, of the Piazza, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on December 29. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Gavin Conway, 51, of Arlington Road West, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot vehicle at Norman Road, St Leonards, on November 14 last year while twice over the legal drink-drive limit. He gave a blood alcohol reading of 210 milligrammes. The legal limit is 81mg. He also admitted a charge of driving with no insurance. He was given a 14-week prison sentence, suspended for 14 weeks and banned from driving for four years. The court also made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours unpaid work.

Hanna Scott, 23, of Seaside, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer 
and causing £368.87 damage
 to the window frame of a 
police vehicle. The offence took place at Lushington Road, Eastbourne, on December 12. The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and ordered her to pay £368.87 compensation.

John Tovey, 64, of Brodrick Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Lottbridge Drive, Eastbourne, on December 26, while over the drink-drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 62 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. He was fined £600 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Samuel Leaney, 30, of Park Croft, Polegate, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a knife in a public place. The offence took place at Polegate on December 26 
when he was found to have with him a hunting knife 
with a four inch long fixed blade. The court made a community order with a requirement of 120 hours of unpaid work.

Thomas White, 24, of Court Lodge Close, Lower Dicker, Hailsham, was sent to
prison for six weeks after pleading guilty to attending an address, at Eastbourne,
 on Christmas Day in breach of a Crown Court restraining order made by Lewes Crown Court.
Tina Offord, 30, of Pembury Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police 
officer, at Marine Parade, Eastbourne, on December 11. 
She was fined £100 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation.
