The following are court results from Hastings Magistrates' Court which covers the Eastbourne area from March 29 - March 30.

March 29:

Chris Lower, 22, of Northbourne Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. The offence took place at Turkey Lane, Bexhill, on September 11. He was fined £125 and his driving record endorsed with three penalty points.

March 30:

David Bailey, 74, of Port Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £53.71 from Tesco, at Hailsham, on January 21. He was given a two-year conditional discharge.

Amy Barnes, 30, of Moore Park, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus car on Friday Street, Eastbourne, on March 12 while more than twice over the drink-drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 80 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £420 and banned from driving for 18 months.

Shelley Bissett, 26, of Selwyn Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing clothes worth £58.96 from New Look, in Terminus Road, on February 29. She also pleaded guilty to stealing meat items worth £60 from Tesco Express, Seaside Road, on March 4 and to stealing two bottles of alcohol worth £6.75 from Tesco Express in Grove Road on March 4. She was given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £60 compensation.

Jack Doyle, 22, of Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to stealing two Game of Thrones DVD boxsets worth £55 from Sainsburys, in the Arndale Centre on March 15. The court made a community order with a 21-day electronically monitored curfew between 7pm and 7am.

Ricky Fuller, 19, of Mill Road, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to damaging a cooker, glass door and fire extinguisher, belonging to the YMCA at Market Square, Hailsham, on February 18. He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence imposed by magistrates on October 8 for three offences of shoplifting and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. The court made a community order.

Bartlee McHugh, 30, of Circular Road South, Colchester, Essex, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating her. The offence took place on March 13 at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, He was fined £300.

Jessica Morley, 24, of Willingdon Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a car on Havelock Road, Hastings, on March 11 while three times over the drink-drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 106 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £440 and banned from driving for two years.

Joseph Percival, 20, of Brookland Terrace, Lower Horsebridge, Hailsham, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Langney Road, Eastbourne, on March 12. He was fined £80.
