Eastbourne performers are being given the chance to audition for television contest Britain’s Got Talent at the Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne and follow in the footsteps of ventriloquist Steve Hewlett.
Steve celebrated Britain’s Got Talent success in 2013 when he was selected as the ‘wildcard’ and asked to return to perform in the finals.
Steve amazed the nation with his incredible talent for comedy ventriloquism on the flagship ITV programme but he was a seasoned performer who has been treading the boards for 21 years.
Now, the show’s producers hope to find another successful act from Eastbourne and are running auditions at the theatre in Seaside on September 7.
They will be welcoming acts to the stage, but all performers must first send a video before September 1.
All ages are welcome, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
The auditions will be held at the theatre in Seaside between 1pm and 4pm.
