An elderly woman had her purse stolen by a conman who asked to use her toilet.
The victim, who is in her 80s, was outside when she was approached by the man who is described as white, between 5’ 7” and 5’ 10” tall, aged between 19 and 21, with short light brown hair and an English accent.
He asked to use the toilet at her home in Parkway and after leaving the victim realised that her purse containing cards and cash had been taken.
A police spokesperson said, “This incident happened on either May 5 or 6. The victim is extremely vulnerable and understandably is distressed by what happened. She has assisted police in putting together an e-fit of the offender and we hope that someone may recognise him as a result.
“If anyone knows the identity of this man or has information about the burglary then we would urge them to call police on 101, quoting serial 0833 of May 6. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
