Churches are being given a chance to apply for £10,000 of funding for their community projects.

Eastbourne-based Ansvar Insurance, a top church and charity insurance specialist is looking for the best Church Community Projects across the UK and has a £10,000 grant for the one it’s judging panel chooses as the best.

Entries are not restricted to Ansvar policyholders. Any project that could be transformed by new funding should apply, and there’s still plenty of time before the May 31 deadline.

Ansvar managing director Richard Lane said, “£10,000 is a big prize, but Churches take on some very big challenges.

“We want this campaign to help share and spread the best ideas.

“We’ll be helping to share their stories in the coming months.

“We’re already getting some inspiring entries, from nursery schools to sports clubs, that churches have set up in their communities.”

Churches with a project they want to shout about simply need to tell Ansvar about it in up to 1,000 words.
