Henrietta Hippo’s Funhouse had a special guest when Steve Hewlett, Patron of the Friends of the Royal Hippodrome Theatre, performed with his chicken, Chutney.
He was also there with Pam Kuhn, Chair of the Friends, to present the funhouse with a cheque for a year’s sponsorship. The money will be used on a new set and costumes as well as other show running costs. Steve Hewlett had an extra treat, explaining he had used Chutney various times for the past 20 years in his career and he said it was time for them to part and he asked if Chutney could have a home at the Funhouse. This means Chutney is now to a regular character at Henrietta Hippo’s Funhouse which takes place on the first Saturday of the month, 10.30am. Each show is themed and children are encourage to come dressed up. The next show is Saturday, May 2, and the theme is Superheroes and Super villains! Tickets £5 in advance, £7 on the door and the show is ideal for three to eight year olds. Box Office: 01323 80 20 20 or www.royalhippodrome.com
