Chart-toppers Scouting for Girls will be performing live in Eastbourne as part of Airbourne’s ‘Super Saturday’.
The platinum-selling band will top the bill at Eastbourne Live, the free festival on the beach from August 13-16, thanks to sponsorship from TJ’s nightclub.
Scouting For Girls will be performing for Airbourne crowds on Saturday, August 15 in an evening hosted by Heart’s breakfast presenters Tom, Nicola and Jack, just before the firework finale rounds off a 12-hour air show extravaganza at 10pm.
Since they first stormed the charts in 2007, their special brand of energetic, piano-based pop has made a lasting impression, headlining Wembley Arena and producing four top ten albums with an array of hit singles including ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Heartbeat’ and their UK number one ‘This Ain’t a Love Song’.
More recently writing for One Direction, Union J and 5 Seconds of Summer, the band toured with Madness last autumn and are now adding Eastbourne to their 2015 festival tour.
Lead singer Roy Stride said, “We’ve heard great stuff about Airbourne and can’t wait to see the air show and meet the fans at the beach. It looks like a spectacular evening and it’s all free, so get there early to avoid missing out.”
Darren Myall, from TJ’s, added, “Scouting for Girls are a brilliant band, you can’t fail to have noticed the undeniable energy of their hits which have featured across many genres on radio and TV. We are delighted to be sponsoring their appearance and supporting Airbourne too.”
