Charity lottery for RNLI is won after 32-week rollover

A charity lottery in aid of Eastbourne RNLI has been won by a local busines man after many weeks of rollovers.

The lottery has been held on Saturday night at The Belgian Cafe for the last 32 weeks.

However, on Saturday night Mr Chikh, who runs the fruit and vegetable shop in Terminus Road, took home the £2, 400 jackpot.

Over the weeks, the lottery has raised £1,000 for Eastbourne’s new lifeboat Diamond Jubilee.

Derek Legg, the organiser of the RNLI lottery, said, “Our grateful thanks to Greg Corona from the Belgian Cafe.”
