Charity issues appeal for someone to walk a whippet

A CHARITY which helps keep the elderly and terminally ill with their much-loved pets is appealing for volunteers in Eastbourne.

The Cinnamon Trust is a national charity formed to help keep owners and pets together. They provide a walking service for a housebound owner, foster pets when the owners need hospital care and even clean out bird cages.

Sally Collins, appeals administrator, said, “Unfortunately we have a shortage of volunteers in Eastbourne who are able to offer some much-needed walks for a shy whippet.

“Even if you can only offer an hour a week it will improve the dog’s quality of life so much and give the owner peace of mind.”
